Emery: What Neymar, others lacked against Ronaldo & Co
According to Paris Saint-Germain manager Unai Emery, he said his side's didn't play well during the second-half against giant Real Madrid.
He also opened up about what the likes of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and
Cavani lacked against the Los Blancos side after they were destroyed by Ronaldo and Marcelo.
Cristiano Ronaldo score a penalty and later tap in another with his knee before Marcelo score a late goal to secure all three points.
Emery said: "We played a good game, a really good game. We deserved more. Right now I’m optimistic for the second leg.
He further added, We have chances, having seen the way we played in parts today. The result is 3-1 but the play on the pitch didn’t reflect that. The side played a good game, it’s a tough result to take. The players played with personality.
"Maybe we just lacked the final ball. I think we deserved a better result for our performance. The match was decided by small details."
"I have confidence in this side. If we look at the things we did, we did well.
We had the chance to get a better result here. We created chances. Madrid didn’t have control of the game and they knew they might be able to get a counter and score and they did just that. We were in
our best moment when they scored their second and it affected us.
"I’m thinking about the chance we have at our place in front of own fans. We have the chance to pull off the comeback.
" Emery report.
